In 2010, Bauerfeind was an official partner of an Olympics organizing committee for the first time. At the Winter Olympics in Canada, Bauerfeind had "Friend of the Games" status and was thus part of the central medical provision system.
Since there were two venues, this meant: one Bauerfeind team was deployed in the Olympic Village in Vancouver and one in the Olympic Village in Whistler, nearly two hours away by car.
For the first time, not only were the German Olympians supplied with supports and orthoses from Bauerfeind in the event of injury, but athletes from all participating nations could also take advantage of Bauerfeind's orthopedic service.
Moreover, a package of Bauerfeind products for rapid first aid was available at all Olympic venues.
