From February 2021, the color portfolio of Bauerfeind’s VenoTrain micro and VenoTrain soft compression stockings will feature three new skin tones. Patients can choose their matching shade from a total of seven skin tones to emphasize the natural look of their legs.
Milk, cookie and coffee are the new shades for the VenoTrain micro and VenoTrain soft compression stockings from Bauerfeind. Together with cream, caramel, amaretto and espresso, patients will have a total of seven skin tones to choose from starting in February, allowing them to match their compression stockings to their own complexion.
During point-of-sale consultations, specialists use the skin tone test cards which they place against the inside of the patient’s forearm. The inside of the wrist is ideally suited for identifying the skin tone since the color of the veins is generally visible.
The skin’s undertone may be warm, cool or neutral. Silver jewelry is best for patients with cool skin. The veins look bluish or violet. For these skin types, milk and cookie are the recommended shades. If the patient can wear either gold or silver jewelry, the skin undertone is neutral. The darker shades of amaretto and espresso are ideal here. For women with a warm skin undertone, gold jewelry is highlighted beautifully and the veins on the insides of the wrists look more green. Coffee, caramel and cream are the shades for women with warm skin undertones who wear compression stocking.
With a counter display, banners, posters, window decals, a leg information card including all skin tones as well as consultation cards for identifying the patient’s skin tone, medical retailers can effectively present the topic at their points of sale.
