Spinova® Mum

Orthosis to relieve the lumbar spine and stabilize the SI joint during and after pregnancy (regeneration)

Back pain during pregnancy can be a real challenge. Spinova Mum offers support and can – if the treating physician approves and monitors use – lift the belly as much as the patient requires, thus relieving the back. The lumbar orthosis straightens the lumbar spine and counteracts a hollow back, thanks to integrated corset stays.

  • Relieves the lumbar, pelvic and hip region during and after pregnancy (postpartum regeneration)
  • Unique strap system gently lifts the belly and stabilizes the pelvis
  • Stabilizes the sacroiliac joints and symphysis using circular compression
  • High level of wearing comfort, thanks to breathable mesh material and low weight

In addition to lifting the belly, the unique strap system, which can be used intuitively, ensures pelvic stabilization and targeted relief of the sacroiliac joints, thanks to circular compression. When the SI joint pads are used, they have a relaxing effect to loosen ligament structures as well as tension in the back, pelvis and hip muscles, and to stimulate their circulation. The pads can be individually positioned by a specialist in consultation with the physician, or they can be removed.

The particularly soft abdominal fastening and individually adjustable tensioning straps of the orthosis are positioned below the belly. Thanks to the long Velcro area, the fastening usually adapts to the growing bump until just before the birth of the baby, and during postpartum regeneration to its reducing circumference. Spinova Mum is lightweight and, thanks to its elastic and skin-friendly mesh material, pleasantly breathable as well as comfortable to wear.
